Special Shopping Hours for High Risk Customers

A number of stores have added extended shopping hours for older adults or those with an underlying health condition have grown. Below is the current list of designated hours for local store:

  • Andronico's: 7-9am Tuesday and Thursdays

  • Berkeley Bowl: 8-10am Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

  • Piedmont Grocery: 9-10am every day for those 65 or older

  • Safeway: 7-9am Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Target: 8-9am Wednesdays for older adults and those with underlying health conditions

  • Trader Joe's: 8-9am every day

  • Whole Foods: 8-9am every day for those 60 or older

Schools

​BUSD: takeaway meals for school-age children 18 and younger

  • Nutrition Services open from Monday, April 6, serving sets of meals: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

  • Time: Open from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. to pick up multiple meals

    • Berkeley Arts Magnet Elementary:

      • 2015 Virginia Street, Tables will be set up between Milvia & Shattuck

    • Rosa Parks Elementary:

      • 920 Allston Way, Tables will be set up under the portico

    • Longfellow Middle School:

    • Willard Middle School:

      • 1980 Allston Way, Tables will be set up in the breezeway on Milvia near Kittredge St

    • Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School:

      • 1781 Rose Street, Enter on Grant and drive onto the basketball courts. Tables will be set up at the front doors of the Dining Commons
